Leadership
Leading from 'Who you Are' and 'Why you
are Here'
Across time, great leaders have led from a conviction,
a calling in their hearts from which they could not be distracted.
They didn't pay attention to whether people approved or
disapproved, liked them, or not. They simply moved toward
their dream without distraction (another word please, Richard!).
Picture Jesus, Martin Luther King, Joan of Arc. Each was
willing to die for their dream. What are you committed to
with this depth? It is difficult, perhaps impossible, to
effectively take our place of leadership until we are very
clear about who we are and can answer the question, 'What
is my WHY?'
Authenticity enfolds:
- Who I am (my core, Essence, my highest Self))
- Who I am afraid I am (my shadow)
- Who I show to the world (my masks, voices, 'local selves')
We can truly lead when we are using none of our energy
for posing or being our 'social selves'. We are truly leading
when we are showing the world exactly who we are, with courage
AND compassion.

were brave??" Click here

Leading from Community
Beyond the aspirations of our personal leadership, where
are we leading the world and the evolution of humanity as
an intentional community of leaders? This does not imply
that we all move in together. It is however, however, critical
to our individual and collective success that we are very
clear on our shared purpose, through which our individual
purposes and the parts that we each are meant to play will
emerge.
