The Life Foundation is dedicated to making a significant difference in today's society. We provide a multi-level person-centred education by teaching therapeutic tools and techniques relevant to the individuals within their own unique situations and lifestyles."

The World Peace Flame

Lit by royalty, indigenous elders and eminent peace-makers, seven Millennium Flames were flown across the oceans by military air forces and combined together at the 1999 Life International Conference, North Wales, UK

Flames were lit in the Americas, Australasia, Africa and Asia by indigenous elders and regional peacemakers and carried by the Dutch, Australian, South African and UK air forces, as well as Sri Lankan Airlines, respectively.

The result is the World Peace Flame. It is now travelling 50,000 km worldwide - as a live flame - reaching millions of people and highlighting the earth's most positive role-models for peace.

The World Peace Flame is now being installed in the world's centres of decision-making, being carried into war zones and visiting thousands of places of cultural and religious significance.

During its journey millions of people will light a candle from the World Peace Flame and add their light to its strength. In so doing, the World Peace Flame represents the combined aspirations for peace and healing of the whole of humanity.

Humanity already has enough knowledge to solve its problems. The World Peace Flame aims to catalyse a paradigm shift towards implementing these solutions.

The Flame recognises people - both well known and unseen - who are creating the greatest positive role models in every sphere of life: the environment, peacemaking, commerce and science, religion and politics. It affirms humanity's faith in itself as a mature species capable of upholding the unity and diversity of life on this planet.

The World Peace Flame was instigated by Life Foundation International, a group of health professionals who work to heal trauma in war zones. In our work we constantly see suffering - yet have found that amidst the worst situations there are always people creating great healing. They work heroically for the people around them and are like flames of light and hope within their communities. These people are living 'World Peace Flames'.
