Nurture your felt love for nature; never deny it. It is
your connection to the unifying essence that organizes,
preserves and regenerates life relationships at every level.
Its loss in our lives produces our imbalance and destructiveness.
As our arm is attached to our body, all people are biologically
and psychologically attached to, and part of, nature. However,
society generally dismembers our psyche and wellness by
excessively disconnecting us from nature.
BE AMAZED! On average, we
learn to spend over 95% of our time indoors.
BE MORE AMAZED! Over 99%
of our thinking is separated from nature.
As a result, our psyche and wellness silently suffer a
profound loss of contact with our sensory and sensibility
roots in nature. Contemporary thinking then lacks nature's
peace, wisdom and beauty. Significantly, the major problems
our society face seldom exist in intact natural systems
nor in nature connected people. As a twig is bent, so grows
the tree.
Engaging in meditation, yoga and similar practices helps
us relieve our stress and deterioration from nature disconnection.
By using them in conjunction with newly researched nature
connecting activities, they become powerful tools for sustaining
personal and environmental wellness.
As we begin to learn about reconnecting with nature, we
begin to discover why the world works beautifully, yet often
does not feel that way in our lives. Nature beautifully
sustains itself in balance by using 53 natural senses that
we inherit. Our problem is that we learn to restrict ourselves
to only five of the natural senses we are born with. The
disastrous personal, social and environmental results speak
for themselves. Research shows that we can choose to rejuvenate
of our inborn natural sensitivities and make things better.
Our lives sometimes don't make sense and our problems flourish
because industrial society does not teach us to seek, honour,
and cultivate nature's contributions to our lives. We learn
instead to conquer, to separate from and deny the time-tested
love, intelligence, and balance found in the natural world.'

"I have had an appreciation
for the "messiness" of life's process ever since
I looked at the park across the street from my house one
fall day and REALIZED how messy God / Mother Nature is.
Leaves and branches and debris all over the place. It
helped me to relax into acceptance of the messiness of
my own transformation." Jackie Martin
