Understanding the Segments and Time
Sequences for EVERY TeleClass
General agenda:
- Welcome, Intro & Check-ins: 10 minutes
- Content Segment 1: 15 minutes
- Content Segment 2: 15 minutes
- Content Segment 3: 15 minutes
- Wrap up: 5 minutes
Optional detailed time sequencing:
- 2 -3 min. Welcome and check in - this can sometimes take
longer with larger group.
- 2 min. Provide an opening to bring resonance to the group.
(e.g. Poem, reading,)
- 2 min. who's there & what do they most want (What they
would like to get from this class)
- 4 min. Lay foundation & style of session & outline
- 8 min exercise & key point (eg. Open question or big
claim to get attention/involvement) Participation is important
here.
- 2 min. summarize (recap), crystallize, synthesize and
integrate what has been said, segue to point 3
- 10 min. exercise & key point 2
- 2 min. summarize, crystallize, synthesize & integrate
what has been said, segue to point 3.
- 10 min. exercise & key point 3
- 5 min. summarize & contextualize (how does it relate
to interests of this group) everything that has been said
- 10 min. formal debrief key thing they learned (the nugget)
or what was most valuable, how to personalize the learning.
Usually everyone gets to share in a laser like fashion.
You can even ask for two words to describe what each found
most valuable.
- 1 min. fieldwork (exercise that pertains to the information
so they can have an experience) and closing comments.
